Knoxville, GA- A memorial service for John "Jack"
Childre, 66, of Knoxville, will be held on Saturday at
2:00 pm at McLeighton Funeral Service. Jack passed
away on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at his residence.
He served his country in the U.S. Army, was retired
from Bell South after 35 years of service and enjoyed
playing golf and fishing. He was preceded in death by
his parents and was one of six children.

He is survived by two daughters, Alice Childre Thomas
(Franklin) of Knoxville and Paige Childre Lodge (Chris)
of Rome; three grandsons; and several longtime
friends.
